What is most important in my work to me is the comprehensive chance to help. In acute care we can prevent severe disability, and later on we can improve the quality of life with differents kinds of rehabilition and treatment methods and help our patients get their normal life back. Neurological diseases are often difficult diseases, brain diseases, and the consequences can be catastrophic for both the patient and their loved ones. It is wonderful to be able to alleviate this human suffering.

The human brain was an interest of mine already during my studies and I ended up doing my advanced studies in neurology. After that I became interested in doing research and began my doctoral dissertation already during my studies.
