The diseases of the brain, and the way they affect the very nature of being human, are infinitely interesting. Neurovascular diseases combine both the complexity of brain function and the variety of different treatment options and demanding microsurgery. Microsurgical or other neurosurgical treatment can often cure the disease altogether so that the patients recover without any significant deficits and can return to their normal life.

I enjoy moments of success in my work when my patients get better and can go back to their former lives. It is wonderful to know that successful treatments give people a new lease on life.
