During my studies I was interested in surgery and equally interested in neurology, so I wanted to specialize in neurosurgery. It is challenging to examine and surgically treat the central nervous system disorders (spine and brain). That is why you must constantly develop your expertise.

Diseases and disorders of the central nervous system cause significant functional impairment to patients. The most important thing for me is to improve patients' quality of life through successful treatment measures and multi-professional cooperation. I enjoy working in Kuopio University Hospital. We have a great atmosphere and team spirit, and it is nice to come to work in the morning.
