Katja Marin

I became interested in oncology already during my studies and wanted to learn more about the specialty. After my first trainee period, I became very attracted about the field where patient contact and interaction is such an important part of my work.

Working as an oncologist is sometimes heavy, but helping patients, even just a little bit, is very rewarding. One of the most important things in patient care is a good cooperation and communication with patients and their families. The goal is to reach a mutual understanding of the aims and objectives of the treatment.
