In patient care the most important thing for me is genuinely listening to my patients and helping them with the problems that have made them seek treatment. My work is mainly focused on the imaging diagnostics of heart diseases: I look for the causes of the patient’s symptoms, after which we can begin treating the patient.

While doing research I was able to join a cardiological research project. I became inspired by doing research and ended up doing my doctoral dissertation on cardiovascular gene therapy. So it felt only natural to choose this clinical specialty.
